Welcome to PAN issue 99, reaching you with tenacious Blessings on the newly born Year.  In this PAN you can find a selection of articles from our Astroshamanism Facebook page and Astroshamanism BlogClick on the highlighted links for more information or to read on.

I wish you a most immaculate New Year, in its full nothingness and emptiness, ready to be filled with abundant beauty and blessings.
And yet a major blessing here may involve simply recognising and accepting nothingness, without frantically rushing into crowding it with something out of the fear of being or doing nothing.
If I am afraid of being nothing, of questioning who I am, including my intention and the meaning of life, whatever I am or do will inevitably be based upon this fear. As a result this will generate more fear and all the related misery.
Hence the top blessing I wish for ourselves is that we can take at least one day to be or do nothing, refraining from the burning urge to be or do something. On that day we can choose to directly face nothingness, confronting our fears, as well as our courage, allowing ourselves to listen to whatever is genuinely there once we release all that robotic being and doing. This is the seed of nothing which has the potential of becoming a new luminous something, a something that truly makes a difference in our world. Yet, for the time being, let us embrace and celebrate nothingness.
Following a long series of major celebrations and special events, with Solstice, Christmas, New Year, eclipses, at last some time to celebrate nothing, including a day entirely devoted to nothing, i.e. 16 January, Nothing Day. This un-event was first observed in 1973. Apart from a few lines (see here) there is nothing about Nothing Day, which is coherent.
Nothing describes the absence of anything or more colloquially the lack of anything relevant. And yet nothing features prominently on the spiritual healing path. The first lesson of A Course in Miracles starts with the word nothing, while the Introduction to this 1249-page work points out that it can all be summed up very simply in eight words (with nothing being used twice): Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists  Read more… about nothing …or more ideally read nothing…
In astroshamanism nothing is the realm of the Bhi Jinah. These are strategic non-beings that populate nothingness. Their aim is drawing the attention to the reality of such nothingness and making human beings aware of the connection and unity that exists among everyone and everything. See article Bhi Jinah – The Nothing People
The best thing would be to do nothing on 16 January, Nothing Day, so as to be coherent. Yet if you really cannot help doing something, you might join our group meditation or audio session on 16 January, though I definitely do not recommend it (for more information click here). What I do recommend though, if you are passionate about nothing, as well as a wee bit of something, is to consider our upcoming calendar of astroshamanic events (see details below or click here).

The Astroshamanic Circle

In astroshamanism astrology is used as a strategic system aimed at expanding our perception and moving beyond the parameters of consensus reality. The basic experiential assumption here is that everyday reality, or life as we conventionally know it, is merely an interpretation that has been hammered into us since we were born. This interpretation is so intransigent that the experience of alternate realities and paradigms is not regarded as a factual possibility, and can only be demoted in the realm of fiction, fantasies or what are generally considered superstitions, such as astrology.  Click here to read the whole article.

The Healing Power of Books, Music and Movies

Unless we become aware of our own creative power and authentic nature, books, music, cinema and other media drastically shape our reality and perception of the world. Their obvious and subtle information enters into our mind and creates specific effects, which then define the paradigms of our life. As a result, if you are on the path of spiritual reawakening it can be very helpful to bring awareness to what you read, watch or listen to. Read on…

In our Astroshamanic Shop and in the blog Astroshamanic Bookshelf you will find various recommendations on books, music and movies. An important part of those pages is devoted to the classification of works in accordance to astrological correspondences.
In the Astroshamanic Shop in the categories Astrology, Cinema, and Dance & Music in the column on the right (Browse by categories) you can find sections for each zodiac sign with related list of books, movies and music. Such indications are only meant to provide some examples and are under ongoing construction. You may notice that some works apply to more than one sign. This means that they have characteristics related with various signs.
All books, movies and music can be ordered directly from this blog via Amazon. Click here to access our Astroshamanic Shop or click here or any of the banners below (according to your country) to make any order through Amazon. If you do so this will help us support our Astroshamanic Research Fund.

Summer Retreats in Italy

We will hold two retreats this year: one in Assisi (15-20 July 2011) and the other near Fabriano (5-10 July 2011).  These retreats are aimed at purposefully promoting the emergence of a healing collective consciousness and the release of dysfunctional patterns. All retreats in Italy are held in Italian and English (with ongoing translation by Franco in both languages) and are open to participants with previous experience of astroshamanic work. For details click here. We also hold a large selection of programmes in Italy, such as the course on AstroshamanicHealing® and many other events organised by Provordo Astroshamanic Healing Centre (for information contact letizia@astroshamanism.org).

ASTROSHAMANIC TOP CHART

The top singles and albums played during astroshamanic workshops this month.

Music plays a most important part in spiritual healing and astroshamanic work. In this realm there is abundant music purposefully produced with a healing intent, such as shamanic, trance states and meditative music (click here for our series of CDs). There is also healing music produced mainly for commercial reasons, with widespread distribution. Their messages are at times hidden between the lines or integrated with conventional themes, and yet this music can be very significant because it reaches huge amounts of peopleThe Astroshamanic Top Chart is compiled based on the music preferences expressed by participants in recent astroshamanic workshops. Click here for our monthly top chart.

Basic Ritual of the Sacred Cone

The three-stage Astroshamanic Basic Ritual of the Sacred Cone (Pahai Eneghe Urit),  constitutes the basic foundation of astroshamanic work. In this article Franco provides full details on this practice also offering a series of visionary comments. Click here to read the article.
